WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
I never expected photography to become my career — but becoming a mother changed everything. When my daughter Gemma was born, I felt this deep desire to be present, to soak up every fleeting moment, and to document it all. That’s when I realized photography wasn’t just a passion — it was a calling. I love what I do because it allows me to connect with others, to witness the beauty in their chaos, and to freeze time in the most honest and meaningful way. Each session is a chance to tell someone’s story — and I don’t take that lightly.
With a Master’s degree in Criminology, my path wasn’t always pointing toward photography. For years, I worked in structured, analytical environments — but something was missing. After Gemma’s birth in 2021, I made the bold decision to pivot, choosing a path that allowed me to stay close to home while pursuing something deeply creative and fulfilling. Naming my business after her — my little gem — felt like the most fitting way to honor this chapter. Now, through Precious Gems Photography, I get to blend storytelling, connection, and artistry into a job I truly love.
