.First Photographer Shootout with Adventures in Riding with Miss Julie

— A Day of Creativity, Horses, and Heart in Fort Worth, TX

Earlier this spring, I had the incredible honor of hosting my very first photographer shootout in partnership with the non-profit organization Adventures in Riding with Miss Julie, a Fort Worth-based equine therapy facility that serves children and adults with special needs as well as veterans. This beautiful space nestled just outside of the city became the perfect canvas for a day filled with creativity, collaboration, and meaningful connection.

🐴 What Is Adventures in Riding with Miss Julie?

If you haven’t heard of Miss Julie, she is a passionate advocate for healing through horses. Her non-profit organization offers equine-assisted therapy that brings light and joy to individuals with unique challenges and life stories. Beyond therapy, she’s now offering her property and horses for rent to local creatives—including Fort Worth family photographers, senior photographers, and couples photographers—to use for photo sessions and styled shoots.

📸 Highlights from the Shootout

This shootout was more than just a content day—it was a creative retreat with other local photographers who came together to support a great cause, make magic, and create images that inspire.

We styled three unique setups:

• A Western-Styled Couple – channeling rustic romance with wide open skies, cowboy boots, and the warm glow of golden hour.

• Mommy & Me Tea Party – a dreamy, whimsical setup with a magical tea set surrounded by horses, making it feel like a storybook come to life.

• Senior Model Spotlight – showcasing classic senior portraits with an equestrian twist, perfect for any Fort Worth senior photographer looking to offer something different and bold.

• A dedicated female rider and her horse - Keeley and Dotte were a perfect pair and could see their love for each other.

It was so special to create, laugh, and learn together in such a serene and welcoming environment.
