Photographers often shy away from harsh midday lighting, but last weekend's hands-on workshop with the talented Jessi Ingram at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas proved that with the right skills, even the brightest sunlight can be turned into magic. As a Plano Maternity Photographer and creative constantly looking to grow, this workshop was such a treat—and an inspiring reminder of how powerful in-person learning and community can be.

Our beautiful maternity model truly brought the session to life. Dressed in two stunning outfits, she radiated joy despite the Texas humidity doing its thing! Her genuine laugh and soft smile gave us such heartfelt moments to capture. Jessi guided us through various poses and demonstrated how to work with the sunlight instead of against it. From finding the right angles to minimizing harsh shadows, she shared invaluable insights for shooting in those tricky midday conditions.
